After more than two weeks of living through Chile’s second most intense recorded earthquake, I finally have internet access. Just after creating this website, my husband and I had left for a vacation in Pucon, and then headed to Lago Lleu Lleu. It was February and most of Chile was on vacation. As the University was going to closed for the month, we decided to take advantage of the free time and enjoy the beauty of nature. At the time, I thought that there would be ample time to write and post articles on our adventures. I didn’t know that writing about “what I did over summer vacation” would be one of the most memorable times of my life.
For the moment, I will put the writings about Pucon on the back burner, and start with our time at Lago Lleu Lleu, and launch into the yet-to-be-ended experience of living through the quake.
Glad to be alive!
